Rumor has it the Gotianuns are planning to use LND as vehicle to back-door list EWB.

I'd be very happy if I see a gap up to 0.76 tomorrow (or to 0.75 at the very least) :D

Then you must be very happy! Gap up to .77! Better than expected!

Ask and you shall receive. Yey!

Ano ba cost mo, Gen? :)

APC nalang tanong mo :p

Christina Hunt said...

You have both?! :-P

Oh yes. :)

Ang galing mo!! Jackpot! For sure, you were able to buy at a low cost! :-P I just bought LND today.

Ngek. Di galing. Kainip kaya mag-antay. Haha. Enwi, you seem to be doing well. I don't really have a target for LND so I'll just follow your lead.

And my target for APC is only up to .80. Not sure why almost everyone I've spoken to has P1.00 for a target. Baket nga ba? :)

Christina Hunt said...

That is true! EVERYONE is looking at 1. Just the typical "go for par" target. I'll be out before 1, I think. Siguro mga .90+ Let's see! :)

So ano nga pala cost mo? Mababa nooooh! Kahit nakakainip maghintay, the mere fact na nahintay mo... galing parin! Wala akong holding power sa mga ganitong stocks. :P Kaya yan, nakikisama ako sa madla sa pagbili! :D

A trader never tells. :)

Let's just say I picked up mid-July and early September. Tagal noh!

Christina Hunt said...

i'm a trader, but i TEL! Pun intended. Hahahah! But hmmm... Ahhh... I see, I see. Ang tagal na nga! Cool! Hahaha! What made you decided to go long in these issues? I've always just played it short-term with these kinds of issues... Do share your reason for buying.. :)

Hahahahahaha

For APC, it was very easy. Saw a potential harmonic pattern and went for it. See

Only problem I had were the re-test of the lows and the shakeouts thereafter. Almost made me let go when it fell to 0.44 (even violating my stop) but because the swings were measurable, I kept it. After the shakeout, it was just a matter being patient and believing in the pattern.

For LND, yan kalokohan. Wanted to experiment on Hit & Run trading ala Jeff Cooper but ended holding it longer than expected after catching the second move. Very uncharacteristic. And I after I heard from a trader friend about the Gotianuns + EWB potential back-door list, it was easier to keep holding.

In the end, I guess it was mostly greed. :) Still, the trade is something I wouldn't do again.

For both APC and LND, having a trading plan helped. Proper position sizing also gave me comfort since I never traded more than I was willing to risk.

But you're absolutely correct to avoid these issues unless there's momentum. Better safe than sorry is what we used to say in my old firm.

Last on APC,

I may have mis-spoken when I said this trade was easy. I'm not the most patient guy when it comes to my harmonics. Most of the time, I almost always expect it to go when I take the trade.

Two of my trader friends actually entered this trade with me. They were already goading me to sell when it hit my stop in July saying that the stock was waiting for me to sell down because of our experience in previous trades (i.e. stock goes kaboom the day after I sell) so I held.

In short, no skill involved. It was the fear of being unable to ride my own reco while my friends laughed all the way to the bank kept me in the trade. (in short daw o!)

Yun yung totoong storya. Walang kupas, walang kulang.

Interesting trade! Natawa ako nung sabi mo your friends were goading you to sell. That often happens with my friends too. We always tease each other to sell already, especially when we're in the same issue together. Since most of us are tsupiteros, you want them out especially when they're jittery about the trade but you're bullish about it. Hahaha! Do your trader friends still have APC or are you the last one standing? :P

Hmmm.... You still have LND? Inverted cross today. Hmmm... :P

I cannot tell a lie. I sold @ 0.86... couldn't stand the consolidation at that level that seemed forever. No regrets. Haha.

Yes, last man standing on the APC trade. They sold around the 0.57 level, and shifted to BEL. Yun wala ako. I tried to catch up but got stopped for some reason. Hahaha.

I'm glad to hear such banters is common place. For awhile there, akala ko talaga ako hinihintay mag benta eh! :D
